I keep getting into conversations with people about books I’m reading or have read recently, and I always say something like “I have a list of books I can recommend on this topic” but don’t actually. Until now. This will be a general space for books I’m reading, have read, or are looking at reading next. I’ll have more specific starting places for particular topics that will reference these books.
The links below are to pages that include some of my thoughts about the respective books if I have any, and also have a link to where you can buy the book (no affiliate links). Otherwise, I might just have a link directly to Bookshop.org (again, no affiliate links) if I haven’t written anything up yet.
I’m one of those people who really doesn’t like marking up books, but I’m beginning to feel I agree with the idea that reading a book is a conversation with the author. Since I don’t like to mark up books, and because I use Obsidian Sync *My way of paying for the thing I’m using. I could use something like syncthing
, but I want to support this product. I have the vault that backs this site on my phone and can add things as I’m doing other things, so these pages will initially include things that would be margin notes. Eventually, I’ll polish them up and refine them like anything else in the garden.

This is my to-read list. Maybe keeping it here will make me get on these sooner.
